Several differences between capacitive screen and resistive screen

The screen resistance principle concept: resistive touch screen body part of the screen is a multilayer film by a layer of glass or organic glass is used as the base, the surface coated with a layer of transparent conductive layer above, then covered with an outer surface hardened layer, smooth scratch resistant plastic layer. Its inner surface is also coated with a layer of ITO, and there are many tiny transparent separation points between the two layers of conductive layer to separate them. When the fingers touch screen, touch the two layer ITO, resistance to change, the controller based on the resistance change is detected to coordinate calculation of contact points, according to the coordinates of the corresponding operation, so this technique must be applied to the screen, in order to obtain the touch effect.
From the above capacitive screen and resistive screen principle concept, we can see some differences between the two.
The capacitive touch screen only needs touch, without the need for pressure to produce the signal. The capacitive touch screen needs only one or no correction at the time of production.
Resistance screen technology requires routine calibration. The capacitor scheme lives longer because the components in the capacitive touch screen do not require any movement. In resistive touch screens, the upper layer of the ITO film needs to be thin enough to be flexible so as to bend downward and touch the ITO film below.
From the above analysis, we can come up with several simple ways to distinguish between capacitive screen and resistive screen
(1) look: indoors, whether resistive screen or capacitive screen, both of the visual effects are very good. But if you put it in the sun, the effect will be very different. The resistive screen will not perform well because the extra screen layer reflects a lot of sunlight. Such as Motorola "Ming" series of classic mobile phones, usually in the sun, poor visibility of the naked eye.
(2) touch: resistance touch screen, use pressure to contact each layer of screen, can use finger, touch pen and so on. The capacitive touch screen comes from the charged finger surface, and the slightest touch activates the capacitive sensing system below the screen. Non biological, nail, etc invalid.
(3) experience: the basic nature of the resistive screen determines that its top is soft and needs to be pushed down, which makes the screen very vulnerable to scratches. But because the resistor screen can be operated with stylus or nail, it is good for the cleanliness of the screen. The outer layer of the capacitor screen can be made of glass, so that it is not indestructible, but it may shatter under severe impact, but the glass is easier to handle with daily rubbing and soiling.
